BRIEF HISTORY
Having spent the better portion of my childhood primarily playing the guitar, I was introduced to the haunting sounds of the Native American Flute back in 1991. Shortly after my first encounter with these simple yet profound wind instruments, I met a Pottawatomie flute maker who learned the ancient art of flute making through his ancestors. Not long after our first meeting he took me under his wing and began teaching me the ways of these sacred instruments which included how to carve them by hand.
After spending 4 years creating and performing on NA Flute up and down the west coast, the next step in my musical journey was to enter the recording studio to create an album of Contemporary Native American flute music accompanied by Guitar, Piano and Keyboards, what emerged was the 1995 release Wind Journeys?
Through the years I’ve re-connected with many of the original owners of Wind Journeys and have been told amazing stories of how this simple body of music has touched their lives and the lives of the people they have shared it with.
Wind Journeys has been played everywhere from birthing rooms to people leaving the physical world, it’s also been played by as many body workers and massage therapists as it has been retail stores and doctors offices. Wind Journeys crosses all boundaries and is truly a one of a kind production never to be repeated.
NEARLY 15 YEARS LATER
Nearly 15 years after I stepped in the studio to produce the original recording of Wind Journeys, I re-entered the studio to Re Mix and Re Master the original tracks as well as add two new original songs that have never been heard by the public before. Sonically it is better than the original, but still contains the same magic it did the day it was originally released.
Since the advent of the internet independent music has become much more accessible, with that said, I felt it was time for me to breath a whole new life into Wind Journeys and share it with a new global audience. Today I am happy to announce the Re-Release Wind Journeys as a digital download
